Dr. Makarand Jawadekar is a Pharmaceutical Consultant, with 28 years of experience working for Pfizer, Inc.  He has extensive experience in creating and cultivating external partnerships and alliances for drug delivery technologies, and has direct experience in Solids R&D, Drug Product formulation, Dosage Form, Drug Delivery development, Clinical Trials Supply Manufacturing, Scale-up and Technology Transfer and Research Pharmacy functions.  Throughout his career, he helped create various pharma R&D partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations.  As a bench scientist, he worked on many challenging commercial formulations which became multibillion dollar products for many years for Pfizer Inc.  He has also been engaged in coordinating outsourcing R&D activities with external partners.  

Recently, he worked with Mr. Tonino Lamborghini, Chairman of Tonino Lamborghini S.p.A. in Italy, in creating strategic collaborations in India, working through India’s Prime Minister N. Modi and the Chief Minister, D. Phadanavis.  Currently, he serves on various company strategic and scientific advisory boards around the globe including Saama Technologies, ADH Nutraceuticals, Actinium Pharma, Atossa Genetics Inc., Applied DNA Technologies, Lykuid AI Inc., Applied Materials Inc., Immune Therapeutics Inc., and Tonino Lamborghini SpA, Italy.  He also serves on the Board of Directors for Preveceutical Medical Inc. and Cardax Pharma.  As recommended by the President of India, Makarand was honored with an honorary D.Sc. degree by DYP Mumbai University in 2011.  Makarand received his Ph. D . in Pharmaceutics from the University of Minnesota.
