NMS Consulting Appoints Damian Del Rio as Senior Consultant
Having worked in the IT Governance field for over 12 years, Mr. del Rio has a diverse blend of skills including privacy and cybersecurity, ERP implementation, IT audit and regulatory compliance.
As a certified information systems auditor (CISA), he has performed numerous internal and external audits related to the governance, control, and security of information technology. In this capacity, Mr. del Rio has helped organizations establish legal, technical and organizational measures required for compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), PCI/DSS and other regulatory frameworks.
In addition to the above, Mr. del Rio is well versed in global data privacy legislation and consistently monitors developments in jurisdictions around the globe including the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). He is a certified information privacy professional for the European region (CIPP/E) as well as a certified privacy technologist (CIPT), and program manager (CIPM). His data privacy expertise combined with his long history in information systems management provides him a unique blend of skills tailored to help organizations comply with both policy and implementation components of data privacy legislation.
