NMS Consulting Appoints Chad Kanyer (ex-PwC) as a Senior Consultant in Los Angeles

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA, August 7, 2019 – NMS Consulting, Inc. (“NMSC”) announced today that it has recently appointed Chad Kanyer as a Senior Consultant within the Management Consulting practice at the firm.

Chad Kanyer has a diverse, 10+ year track record as both a management consultant and entrepreneur, helping strategize, build, and lead the execution of complex and innovative change initiatives spanning technology, marketing, and general operations. At PwC, Chad helped establish project management offices and drive complex change initiatives for large organizations, including Southwest Airlines, MoneyGram, and Publicis.  Specific success stories include; completing project milestones on time and under budget; clearing several people-oriented issues in time for a momentous software launch using negotiation, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution; using Change Management to ensure a proper go-live by massaging standards across 25 segmented teams; navigating issues such as remote teams, limited budgets, competing priorities, and low team engagement; developing and helping institute a new Software Testing Strategy for MoneyGram as a member of the Program Management Office (PMO); delegating across Operations and Technology Managers to achieve objectives; and providing Change Management as leader of multiple technical projects for Publicis Worldwide, both related to streamlining Incident Management and Response processes when new technology was released.

At Microsoft, Chad’s accomplishments included; partnering with Microsoft Directors, Program Managers, and Product Owners within the OEM Operations Group to refine a multi-year Roadmap for a $50M+ Digital Contracting Initiative; as the Business Scrum Master, managing across complex, international team of Program Managers, Developers, Compliance Managers, and others to turn business requirements into working technology; bolstering Sprint Retrospectives and spearheaded 5+ initiatives to rectify process gaps and inefficiencies; training 40+ Microsoft Directors and Program Managers on how to incorporate Agile principles and tools into their multi-year Waterfall programs with increased efficiency and minimal churn; and producing monthly reports for Directors of Technology and several Program Leads, using dynamic-data dashboards to highlight project metrics, risks, and recommended mitigations.

Chad has since cultivated experiences in the world of startups, coaching both founders and professional athletes on business strategy, and Agile Coaching, which he has provided to Microsoft and Arizona State University’s technology teams.  Chad holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Carnegie Mellon University, where he majored in Business Entrepreneurship.
